LP on Silken Tofu coming up

Time to blow some life into this blog. It's been ages since I've been active on here, and there's a simple reason for that: there was no news to report. No shows, no new music, no nothing. All this time I've been working on my upcoming album on Silken Tofu and now it's finally time to reveal some of the music that will be on this record. Wim Silken Tofu has put Side A of the LP on his SoundCloud page and I'm really happy to share this.

The LP will be released in June 2015, if all goes well. It features art work by my brother Mich and additional vocals by Jenci of VVOVNDS on one of the tracks. You can see a glimpse of the art work beneath. Way different than before, but it has the Mich quality stamp.

There are three tracks on the album. Side A is one long track called "Kampuchea". Side B has two tracks called "Tainted" and "61114".

NOISEFEST V - March 15 2014

So it's been more than a year ago that I have been posting on my blog..and exactly for the same reason: NOISEFEST! For the fifth time already De Kreun, Geluidsoverlast!!!, and Usain Bolt Records are teaming up to bring you the best of all things noise in Kortrijk. We're really happy with the lineup that features 12 acts from 9 different countries, going from harsh noise over power electronics over industrial to acoustic black metal. Come on over, celebrate with us.

In other news, I'm in the middle of making new music for the upcoming and long announced LP on Silken Tofu. Working title is "Yes, I Am A Lazy Bum".

Hello it's been a while but I wanted to share this with you: NOISEFEST IV is happening. February 16th in Kortrijk, Belgium, brought to you by Vlas Vegas, De Kreun, and Geluidsoverlast!!!.

An we're really proud of this amazing line up. Come and drink some beers with us and listen to the best noise bands you'll ever see in Kortrijk.

Kindvriendelijk set from last Sunday + Two shows coming up

Last Sunday, the hottest day of the year, Dries and me had a total blast in Vertrijk at Don't Cum If You Don't Like Noise. Kindvriendelijk was kindly invited to play there for the second time in our short existence, and it was great. First, Svartvit totally destroyed us, and afterwards we destroyed ourselves again. Video footage of the set is coming up soon, but you can already listen to our set RIGHT HERE.

And also in september Dries from GELUIDSOVERLAST!!! organises this very special event in the medieval crypt next to Boekhandel De Standaard in Kortrijk. The last two weekends of September there will be an art exhibition by Nele Vanthomme. True Deep & All Shadows And Deliverance will be playing on September 22 at 6pm, and Syndrome will be doing a special show on Saturday September 29. Kindvriendelijk show in Ghent 20/07/2012 - Video

So we played a show with Kindvriendelijk yesterday in Ghent. We want to thank the people from Project 02 who set up this show, and Seba Crucifix Eye who was so kind to invite us to play. Actually we wanted to play longer this time, but somehow we just don't manage to get above the ten minute frontier. Next Kindvriendelijk show will be on August the 19th in Tienen. Two new Usain Bolt Records releases

I just released two new 3" cd-r's on my small label Usain Bolt Records . UBR011 is "Obake" by Crucifix Eye. Digital harsh noise walls. High pitched and heavy. Headphone listening is recommended. UBR 012 is "Encopresis" by Anus Nocturnum. Analog synth madness by DJ Nolf Kaka. Very creepy and disorienting. Two quite different releases, buth both heavily recommended, if I may say so.
